APEC House -Nurimaru |
| Nurimaru, meaning ¡°top of the world¡± or ¡°world summit¡±, is an iconic dome nestled on the tip of a rocky islet off the port of Busan that should be a haven of tranquillity for visiting dignitaries. Taejongdae-Rock Cliff |
| Stretching 9.1km along the southern side of the Yeongdo coast, Taejongdae is centered around a 250m-high peak and covers an area of about 1,793,025§³. There are about 200 kinds of trees - seashore pine, silver magnolia, camellia and so on - and sheer cliffs along the seashore. On a clear day, Taejongdae commands a view of the Tsushima Island in Japan. This place attracted attention as a resort by a Construction board in 1967 and designated as a tourist attraction by the traffic board in 1969. The 4.3km coastal road was constructed over 3 years in the early 70¡¯s. Sheer cliffs, the sound of the waves and the dense forest will make for a rewarding visit. The statue of a mother and her children at the Observation Platform sends a welcoming smile to every visitor. You can take in Oryuk Islets and Tsushima some distance away. |

Yongdusan Park-Busan Tower |
| Located in the middle of Busan's busiest area, Yongdusan Park covers an area of over 69,000 square meters. A gem of the park is Busan Tower which soars up 120 meters high standing on a 69-meter high hilltop. As expected, this observation tower gives a stunning bird's-eye view of the entire city of Busan including islands and ships dotted in the distant seas. Other attractions of the park are Palgakjeong Pavilion, the Busan Citizen's Bell, a flower clock, the statue of Admiral Lee Sun-sin, an aquarium, a science museum and an art gallery. Yonggungsa Temple |

Eulsukdo Islet |
| The estuary of the Nakdong River, Eulsukdo Islet is the biggest habitat of migratory birds in Korea. Designated natural monument no. 179 in 1966, Eulsukdo Islet is overgrown with eulalia and reed. As there are abundant plankton, fishery, shellfish, and aquatic insect, it is optimum for habitat of migratory birds. So, according to the study of omithology, there are 1 species of gaviidae, 1 species of snipe, 2 species of white-rumped swift, and 1 species of bush warbler and so on totally 1 family and 46 species. And Eulsukdo Islet is famous for not only habitat of migratory birds also the birds¡¯ scenery of covering a delta and flying to the sky. |

Beomeosa Temple |
| Beomeosa Temple was built in the 18th year of King Munmu¡¯s reign during the Silla Kingdom (678) by a Buddhist Monk, Uisang. Situated halfway up Mt. Geumjeongsan in Busan, it is one of the nation¡¯s five greatest temples. Scenic natural surroundings harmonizing with groves of Japanese wisteria designated as Natural Monument No. 176 present a marvelous sight. Geumjung Mountain Fortress |
| It is reported that Mt. Geumjeong Fortress was built in 1703 (the 29th year of King Sukjong¡¯s reign during the Joseon Dynasty) by demand of Dongnae Magistrate Park Tae-hang. However, the structure of castle suggests a Silla style of construction in some places. When it was built, it was a very large fortress possessing gates to the north, east, south, and west. But today, these structures are no longer attached. There are four military secret posts, an explosives warehouse, and a fortress warehouse on record. |

Gukje Market |
| Located at the busiest commercial district in Busan, Gukje Market is a huge traditional market consisting of about 1,400 shops, large and small. As they say, there is nothing that you cannot buy here, from trivial things for everyday use to, say, nukes (well, why don't you try). Busan Aquarium |
| There will be approximately 250 species and up to 35,000 marine animals on display. The main tank contains 3 million litres of water and the animals can be viewed through huge acrylic windows or from the 80 metres of underwater tunnel. There are 40 separate exhibits which include penguins, otter, piranha, sea jellies and a touch tank for a close up "hands on" look at a variety of sea creatures. The aquarium will provide a mixture of education and entertainment to delight its guests and leave a long lasting enjoyable memory of the experience. |

Haeundae Beach |
| Haeundae Beach is the only place in Korea where you can enjoy both sea bathing and hot springs. Already a renowned international resort town, Haeundae sees numerous visitors all year round, especially during summer seasons. Main attraction of Haeundae Beach is, of course, the long white sandy beach and the exceptionally beautiful seascape made by Oryukdo Islands in the distance and the pine forest of Dongbaekseom Island at the southern end of the beach. Busan Metropolitan City Museum |
| It exhibits our cultural assets from prehistoric ages to modern times and offers special displays once or twice every year. It was also built to treat and preserve artifacts. It retains various valuables, a total about 10,000 products (972 exhibitions and 8,500 preservations for displaying). Recently in the first eight galleries, artifacts from local graves, China, paintings, Buddhist statues, industrial arts, remains from the new stone and bronze ages and documents of the Joseon era were unveiled. In two special galleries are the remains of fireplaces, stone constructions and tombstones. Moreover, the Museum will also display the subsidiary data for Busan as an international logistics city. |

UN Memorial Park |
| UN Memorial Park in Busan is founded to commemorate UN soldiers who lost their lives during the Korean War. About 2000 soldiers from 16 countries, including the USA, the UK and Australia, are buried in this 13,500 square meter cemetery. Each tomb has a tombstone on which stories about the dead war heroes are inscribed. The cemetery includes the UN memorial tower built for those who fought in the war although are not buried here, a memorial church and an exhibition hall. |

Yigidae |
| Yigidae is famous for its beautiful rocky cliffs, but you have to get a boat if you want to see the beautiful scenery because the place where the earth and the sea meet is a little dangerous to pass. It¡¯s also the best place for fishing. According to Choi Han-bok (1895~1968), a folk historian, Japanese troops took over Suyeong Castle and then gave a party here to celebrate their victory. Two Gi-saeng of Suyeong took part in this party and they offered many liquors to the Japanese soldiers. They then leapt into the river dragging with them several Japanese soldiers and died. Hence we call this place ¡®Yigidae.¡¯ |

Haewol Pavilion in Dalmaji Hill |
| On Dalmaji Hill is a curved road going over Songjeong across the Mt. Wawoo Ridge from Mipo to Cheongsapo. Beside the ocean views there are 15 curves through the woods. In the old times, it was common for many ancient Korean artists to visit here. Every spring the cherry blossoms begin to bloom and on the full-moon nights, Dalmaji shows a most beautiful view. On July 30, 1983, the hill monument was dedicated where the sunrise and moonrise are best viewed. In February, 1997, the Haewol Pavilion was erected on the hill, allowing us to enjoy watching the full moon and the sea with an antiquated mood. Also the nearby Mystery Library, Dongbaek Art Center and famous restaurants provied entertainment. |

Chungyeol Shrine |
| It performs memorial rites in honor of Magistrate Song Sang-hyeon who was killed in the Japanese invasion and patriotic martyrs of Busan. Because it remains a rare scene of wide grass and cultivated flowering plants, people always visit to worship and rest. There are many people to marry outdoors of Shrine in Spring and Autumn. Every May 25th, the Confucian Society representing Busan¡¯s citizens holds a solemn ritual ceremony here. |

Gimhae Astronomical Observatory |
| This structure was built as a two-story building with an observatory and exhibition hall with an area of 5000 §³. Built on to of Buseongsan, Eobang-dong, the observatory is the first of its kind in Gyeongnam Province. It took three years to complete and is one of only three observatories in the country. It gives children the opportunity to observe space and to look further into their own dreams for the future. The observatory helps develop young scientific minds and gives the children confidence. |

Bokcheondong Tomb Museum |
Bokcheon-dong Tomb Museum exhibits archeological items excavated from the tombs of Daeposan, north of Boksan-dong. The Bokcheon-dong tombs are believed to have been for the ruling class of the Gaya and Silla kingdoms before the 6th century. So far 150 tombs have been excavated with a total of 10,000 relics collected, including 3000 earthenware items, 1000 iron ware items and 4000 accessories.
Divided into two exhibition halls and an open air exhibition area, this museum currently displays 1500 items from its collections. It has high-tech facilities to help visitors such as a laser disc player, a touch screen system and a video room. |

Gyeongju National Museum |
| Gyeongju National Museum exhibits numerous precious relics of Silla. Standing on an area of 600 square meters, the museum consists of a main exhibition hall, Ancient Tomb Hall, Anapji Hall and a garden, exhibiting between them a total of 2,700 items of relics found in Gyeongju and its vicinity. While the main hall displays an extensive collection of relics including those from pre-historic times, Ancient Tomb Hall exhibits the treasures excavated from Silla tombs, and Anapji Hall the relics found at the Silla's palace pond of Anapji. In the museum garden is another famous symbol of Silla people's artistic and religious spirit, the Divine Bell of the Great King Seongdeok, which is also named Emile Bell from its mysterious bell sound. Designated as National Treasure No.29, the bell is also the Korea's largest of its kind with a 3.3-meter height. |

Tumuli Park-Cheonmachong Tomb |
| Tumuli Park ("Garden of Great Tombs") at Hwangnam-dong is the largest tomb complex in Korea containing a total 23 Silla tombs. It includes Cheonmachong ("Tomb of Heavenly Horse"), Tomb of King Michu, the 13th king of Silla, Hwangnam Daechong, the largest of all sized 80 meters long and 25 meters high. This park of royal tombs is designated as Historic Site No.175. The central attraction to most visitors in the park is Cheonmachong, the only tomb whose burial chamber is open to the pubic. It contains a mural of a heavenly horse (hence the name of the tomb), a gold crown and a variety of royal accessories excavated from the tomb. Still preserving the relatively undisrupted environment, the park is loved by both Gyeongju citizens and tourists as a refreshing resting place. |

Seokguram Grotto |
| Seokguram is an artificial cave built of granite blocks at the top of Mt. Tohamsan and by modeling after the stone cave temples found in India and China. An annex of Bulguksa Temple and designated as National Treasure No.24 and World Culture Heritage, it is located several winding kilometers northeast of the temple to the mountain. Historical records say that the construction work started in 751 and took 30 years to be completed. This grotto temple enshrines a 3.48-meter tall statue of seated Buddha in its center surrounded by tens of guardians elaborately carved on the stone walls. Some art historians argue that this granite Buddha is the most perfect Buddha image of its kind anywhere. |

Bulguksa Temple |
| Lying at the western mid-slope of Mt. Tohamsan, Bulguksa Temple is one of the most famous and the oldest surviving Buddhist monasteries in Korea. The renown of this "temple of the Buddh's land" comes not from its age or size but from its architectural excellence and from that it enshrines some the Korea's most important national treasures. It was listed as World Culture Heritage in 1995. First built in the early sixth century, the temple completed its wonderful architectural layout when the kingdom was at the zenith of its prosperity following the unification of the three ancient Korean kingdoms. According to records, the temple had once about 60 buildings whose rooms and halls amounted to as much as about 2,000. |
